The Shuttle is one of two free weekly newspapers distributed to households in the Wyre Forest area on a Thursday (the other being the Kidderminster Chronicle).

In April 2006 the separate mastheads of the Kidderminster Shuttle, the Kidderminster Times and the Stourport News were all renamed as The Shuttle; all three papers having had identical editorial content since 2005.

The current editor of the The Shuttle is Clive Joyce.

The paper remains a local institution in the Kidderminster area, notably with its in-depth coverage of the surprisingly hectic local politics and the ever-popular activities of Kidderminster Harriers FC.

The newspaper is owned by Newsquest Media Group which was acquired by the Gannett corporation in 1999. The Newsquest head office is based in Weybridge, Surrey and employs a total of more than 9,100 people across the UK. With 300 titles to its name, Newsquest is the second largest publisher of regional and local newspapers in the United Kingdom.

The Shuttle was named runner-up in the 2007 "Free Newspaper of the Year" category in the annual in-house Newsquest Media Group company awards.
